Hello everyone
I have my exam in a little less than 3 months, done the research on everything plab 2, but I have not started actively preparing or practicing with anyone. From my research, I feel most comfortable with Arora’s style of teaching (based on his youtube videos), but there is very little in the way of samples of his actual course and live academy. If I do go with him, I’ll have till february ending to go through the online course, and then attend his live classes for about 10 days, leaving me with about a month till my exam.
So I’m hoping anyone that has gone through his academy can give me some unfiltered reviews about the academy and course. I’m afraid I’ve wasted too much time already, and I want to commit to one major resource/note/academy now. Thanks.

I’m also interested in hearing the unfiltered review of Dr Aman Arora’s Academy. So far from all his study material out there and few of my friends also attended his mocks, I haven’t heard any bad reviews. To be noted point is that, passing the PLAB 2 exam is not dependent on attending any PLAB 2 Academy, it’s completely dependent on your preparation. They play a supplementary role. Due to increased demand they generally fail to provide a personalised guidance. What they’ll provide is a standard course and study environment.

Well, he promotes a non-structured way to all scenarios. You can book his course and give it a try. My idea is it’s a good supplementary course. It’s better if you not solely depend on his course. He clearly states that he and other instructors are ex GMC examiners so don’t ask question regarding exam questions. Most of the people who took his course had taken other courses as well. If you just want to take his course you might end up not knowing the specific management for the cases. It appears that he covers most of the subjects but in reality he doesn’t cover all.
For the Mx part he use this approach where we take a minute and put issues on the table and then manage those issues one by one if you have enough time. This is a good approach but in real exams there aren’t that much issues and you rarely find 2,3 issues as he practices in his mocks. Therefore, it’s important to focus more on management of the real issue and when you have a good idea about management you also get an idea what are the other problems that you should address during management.
His IPS is good, but if you are generally a nice person there’s nothing much you can gain from his approach to IPS either.
