- Supporting info: All the rest including additional qualities for example communication skills. IPS and experiences that make you fit for the job. Your interest in the trust, what are you expecting from this job and What will you bring with you to the trust If seperate personal statement is not asked all of it should be included in your supporting info.

Get your Certificate of Good Standing From your Home Country
- Awarding bodies:
- India > Medical Council Of India or relevant State Medical Councils
- Pakistan > Pakistan Medical Commission
- Bangladesh > Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council
- Sri Lanka> Sri Lanka Medical Council
- Dubai > Dubai Healthcare City Authority (DHCA)
- You need to provide a pdf of your certificate of good standing (CGS) for GMC registration
- Some NHS trusts also ask for CGS as part of pre-employment checks
Update your designated body
- Go to GMC online › select no designated body ›confirm no connection
- There will be an option to give up License, don’t select it.
- When you will start working in the UK, you ll update your designated body again which will be your trust
- Note: Select currently working outside the UK OR Currently not working, whichever applies to you.
- GMC asks everyone (about 4 weeks after registration) to update the designated body. This is a routine process and nothing to be worried about. A designated body is mostly an NHS trust that employs you, and that is responsible for your annual appraisal and revalidation with the GMC (which are also routine in UK and include demonstrating your professional development)
