This is the main front (West) entrance of one of the two PLAB 2 Exam centres, located at 3 Hardman Street, Manchester.
The report suggests that Manchester city centre was targeted by Palestine Action protesters.
The front entrance and windows of the building have been left covered in red paint. Protesters also appear to have smashed some of the glass doors at the front.
This incident was reported around 3:30 am, Wednesday, May 1, 2024.
Palestine protestors targeted this building because BNY Mellon and Barclays, investors in Israel’s largest weapons firm, Elbit Systems, have their offices in this building.
If you have any more information on this, or any updates from GMC, please comment below.
Repairs are currently underway at the Hardman Street west entrance and we have been informed that they should be completed within the next few days. Your exam taking place at the end of this month should not be affected.
If for any reason the west entrance is out of use on the day of your exam we will instead be able to bring you into the building through the east entrance. This is located a short distance from the main entrance up the set of stairs. If this situation occurs we will have members of GMC staff available to guide you to the correct entrance on the day.
Please be assured that previous occurrences of protests at 3 Hardman Street have not prevented us from running scheduled PLAB exams.
If you would like to discuss this further, please reply to my email.
Yours sincerely
