Regarding ALS and eALS.
The difference in CPD point is there. 10 vs 5 (this doesn’t make a difference in your job application or interview)

Practically !

ALS is a 2 day course , day 1 is mostly theoretical covering lectures and algorithms and some hands on practice at some places.

Day 2 is intensive hands on practice and assessment.

EALS is a one day course, however you are provided with online e-learning materials that you can cover in your time before attending your one day.

The one and only day in centre is essentially same as day 2 of ALS with hands-on practice and assessment.

In both courses you will receive your ALS manual , that you need to go through thoroughly for your mcq part of assessment and to make the most out of your hands-on practice sessions.

In terms of learning outcomes , as per resus uk - a randomised controlled trial showed that learning outcomes of both eALS and ALS are similar. This was then confirmed with a descriptive analysis.

Hello everyone,
I recently cleared PLAB 2, but I’m unable to take the ALS course in the UK. I’m from India and have returned to my home country. I’m now planning to take the ALS course, with my options being either in Bangalore or Sri Lanka. Does anyone know if both are equally valid in the UK? Their websites mention ERC ALS—are there any differences between the two?

According to us, it’s not valid.
