  • Occupation - shopkeeper
    • Do you stand a lot?
    • Any trauma? Tight shoes? Sports?
  • DD
    • Autoimmune (Rheumatoid Arthritis)
    • Achilles Tendinitis
    • Stress Fractures
    • Peripheral Neuropathy

  • Dx
    • Plantar Fascitis
    • No testing
    • It’s inflammation of part of the foot tissue that connects heel to the toes
    • It could be due to standing for long period of time.

Rx

  • Step 1
    • Avoid standing for long time, take hourly breaks.
    • Give painkillers
    • Ice packs wrap in towel for 15 - 20 minutes
    • Self physiotherapy: stretching
  • Step 2
    • Physiotherapy
  • Step 3
    • Orthopaedics for steroid injections, shock wave therapy or surgery.
